Karmali Campylobacter Agar Base 100G is a dehydrated, charcoal-containing powder used to create a selective, blood-free culture medium for isolating thermotolerant Campylobacter species (like C. jejuni and C. coli) from food, animal, and clinical samples, relying on specific supplements (like vancomycin, cycloserine, cefoperazone, amphotericin B) for selectivity and charcoal for detoxifying harmful metabolic byproducts, enabling better recovery and identification of these diarrhea-causing bacteria.

Burkholderia cepacia Selective Agar (BCSA) is a specialized, selective-differential culture medium used in microbiology for isolating the opportunistic pathogen Burkholderia cepacia complex (BCC) from clinical (like cystic fibrosis respiratory samples) and pharmaceutical sources, containing specific nutrients (peptones, yeast extract) and inhibitors (crystal violet, antibiotics like polymyxin B, gentamicin) to promote BCC growth while suppressing others, with BCC colonies typically appearing as distinct, often colored (pink/yellowish halo) colonies due to carbohydrate fermentation and pH change.

Slanetz and Bartley Agar with Neutralizer (often in RODAC or contact plate format) is a specialized, selective medium designed for the enumeration and detection of intestinal enterococci in water, beverages, and environmental surfaces (such as in food industries, hospitals, and cleanrooms). The addition of a neutralizer makes this medium particularly suitable for monitoring disinfected surfaces, as it neutralizes residual sanitizers that could otherwise lead to false-negative results
